Supported card entry methods
The payment terminal accepts every standard EBT card entry method:- Swipe — the shopper swipes the magnetic stripe.
- Chip (insert) — the shopper inserts the card into the chip reader.
- Contactless (tap) — the shopper taps the card or a supported mobile wallet on the terminal.
- Manual key-in — the shopper types the card number on the terminal keypad.
Switch between Auto and Manual entry
If the card can’t be read (damaged stripe or chip, worn card, no contactless), the cashier can switch the terminal to manual key-in for that transaction.- On the payment screen, tap EBT SNAP Options.
- In the EBT SNAP Options dialog, select Manual. Leave it on Auto for a normal swipe, chip, or tap.
- Tap Apply Changes.
- Ask the shopper to type their card number on the terminal keypad and follow the prompts.
