QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Enterprise connect to Vori through the QuickBooks Web Connector, the standard Intuit tool for syncing outside applications with a desktop QuickBooks company. Because QuickBooks Desktop runs on your own computer rather than in the cloud, the connection works a little differently from the web-based QuickBooks Online and Xero setups.

Connect

  1. In the Back Office, go to Integrations → Accounting Sync and start the QuickBooks Desktop connection. Vori gives you a Web Connector file for your company.
  2. Open the QuickBooks Web Connector on the computer that runs QuickBooks, and add that file.
  3. Enter the password Vori provides, and allow the connection when QuickBooks prompts you.
  4. Once connected, Vori runs a first chart-of-accounts pull, so mapping can begin.
✏️ Note: QuickBooks must be running for the Web Connector to reach your company file. Contact Vori Support if you’d like help with the initial setup.

Next steps

Once you’re connected, the rest of the workflow is the same for every accounting system: ✏️ Note: In QuickBooks Desktop, Vori tags entries by store using Class. Set this under Accounting → GL Code Mapping if you run several stores from one company file. A banner can have one accounting system connected at a time.
