Introduction

A soft reset is a quick way to reboot the scanner scale without fully powering it down. This step is often used to resolve common scale communication issues, such as the Scale Not Ready error. Resetting the scale restores the connection between the POS and scanner hardware, helping to ensure accurate weight readings during checkout.

Directions

  1. Tap Scale Not Ready in the top right corner of the POS screen.
  2. Select Reset Scanner Scale*; this can take up to a minute.*
  3. When the reboot is complete, a reboot sound will play, and the scale will reset to 0.00lb. ​
