Restart the POS App

  • On the main cashier screen, select the gear icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.

    • This will open the System Status window.

  • Select Restart App on the System Status window

  • Log back into the POS app, and confirm the payment terminal's connection

If restarting the POS app does not fix the issue, proceed to the next section.

Restart the Shopper Display app

  • To refresh the Shopper app, simultaneously tap all four corners of the monitor

    • The app will disappear, showing the main background screen, and then restart

Example below:

Restart the Mac Mini

  • On the cashier screen, use 3 fingers to swipe from the lefthand side of the screen towards the center.

    • If done correctly, this will minimize the POS app and display the home screen

  • On the home screen of the Mac Mini, tap and hold on the  icon in the top left corner of the screen.

    • A dropdown menu should appear below the  icon

  • Drag down to Restart on the dropdown menu, and let go to select it.

    • A new popup window should appear in the center of the screen.

  • Tap the Restart button on the popup window

    • IMPORTANT: The Reopen windows when logging back in toggle should be left blank.

  • Once the system restarts, enter the admin password when prompted.

    • The password is 654321.

  • Log back into the VoriPOS app to confirm the 10-key is working.

If restarting the computer does not fix the issue, proceed to the next section.

Confirm the shopper display comm cable is securely plugged in

If the shopper display is still not communicating properly, the display's power cable may not be plugged in all the way.

  • Go back under the POS counter to look at the POS Computer

    • On the back panel, there are two USB-A ports on the far right. Each port should have a cable plugged into it.

  • Confirm that both ports have cables securely plugged into them.

    • One cable should lead to the POS scale, the other should lead to the shopper display. Either cable can safely plug in to either port.

If the cables are securely inserted and the the issue is not fixed, proceed to the next section.

Disassemble the shopper display enclosure to check the power cable

If the shopper display's cable is plugged in, the other end may have become damaged or unplugged inside of the cashier display enclosure. The cashier display enclosure will need to be disassembled to clearly see the cashier screen's power port.

If a store is not comfortable opening the display enclosure, a technician visit will need to be scheduled.

Required Materials

  • One screwdriver

Directions

  • On the back of the shopper display enclosure, remove the two screws behind the shopper display

    • Important: The two screws holds the shopper display onto the rest of the enclosure. The shopper display will need to be held up by hand to prevent it from potentially falling.

  • Remove the shopper display and it's surrounding mount from the back of the enclosure

  • Confirm the shopper display's power cable is securely inserted and not damaged

  • Once finished, align the shopper display with the enclosure's back plate and secure the two back screws
