To process a bottle refund, our system requires an item associated to a bottle deposit to be added to the basket first. There are currently two ways to complete this workflow.
Steps (1):
Scan barcode or look for the item in the Search bar and add to the basket
Select Bottle Refund button
Item is now a bottle deposit refund
Steps (2):
Scan barcode or look for the item in the Search bar and add to the basket
Tap the item, select

Select Bottle Refund and Create Bottle Refund
Item is now a bottle deposit refund

To process a bottle refund for an empty Straus bottle in the same transaction as a new purchase, first add the bottle refund to the basket, then add the new item. This ensures that only the refunded bottle is affected, and the new item is processed as a sale.
