How to activate and send gift cards to your shoppers.

VoriOS now offers Digital Gift Cards! Shoppers can purchase gift cards, which will be issued to a phone number.

Issuing a new Gift Card

Steps:

  1. Tap the Gift Card Icon on the bottom bar

  2. Select Purchase

  3. Enter Gift Card amount, confirm amount

  4. Select Digital Gift Card Delivery Method

  5. Input and confirm Gift Recipient's Phone Number

  6. Proceed with transaction and payment

Adding Gift Cards to Apple or Google Wallet

Steps:

  1. Open up SMS message

  2. Click onto the link (Link expires after 7 days)

  3. Select Add to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet

  4. Tap Add in the upper right hand corner to add the gift card to your mobile wallet

Topping up an existing Gift Card

Steps:

  1. Tap the Gift Card Icon on the bottom bar

  2. Select Purchase

  3. Enter Gift Card amount, confirm amount

  4. Scan QR Code with the hand scanner to add the Gift card to your basket

  5. Proceed with transaction and payment

Redeem Gift Card

Steps (1):

  1. Tap Gift Card Icon on the bottom bar

  2. Select Redeem

  3. Scan the QR Code with the hand scanner to redeem the gift card

  4. Balance will be shown in the top left of the screen

  5. Proceed with adding items to the basket

  6. Tap Complete Payment, select Gift Card and confirm the amount.

Steps (2):

  1. Add items to the basket

  2. Tap Complete Payment

  3. Select Gift Card

  4. Scan QR Code with the hand scanner to redeem the gift card and confirm the amount.

Issuing a refund to an existing Gift Card

Steps:

  1. Ensure the item is in entered as a refund(negative amount)

  2. Tap Complete Payment

  3. Select Gift card

  4. Scan QR code with the hand scanner and confirm the amount.

Issuing a refund to a new Gift Card

Steps:

  1. Ensure the item is in entered as a refund(negative amount)

  2. Tap Complete Payment

  3. Select Gift card

  4. Tap Issue New Gift Card

  5. Enter Phone Number, then Issue New Gift Card

Refund an order paid with a gift card directly to the original card

In this case, the QR code is not needed since the system will automatically process the refund to the gift card.

Steps:

  1. Go to View All Orders

  2. Select the order that was paid by Gift Card

  3. Choose the items to be refunded

  4. Tap Issue Refund, confirm the amount

Printing QR Code onto a Receipt

Steps:

  1. Log in as Manager

  2. Go to View All Orders

  3. Select the order with the Gift Card purchase

  4. Tap the Gift Card, then Print Gift Card

Note: The receipt will only display the gift card amount that was purchased, not the current balance.

💡 Pro tip: The current maximum purchase limit for each gift card is $200. If a customer wishes to purchase a gift card for a higher amount, process the remaining amount as a separate transaction as a Top-up.

Additional Notes:

  • Our system does not support bulk digital gift card purchases.

  • You cannot have two separate gift cards with the same number; any additional balance will be treated as a top-up on the existing card.

  • Shoppers can unsubscribe from messages by texting "Stop" to the number. To re-enroll, they should text "Start" to resume messaging.
