To efficiently track monthly payments owed to the state, it is recommended to create and assign taxes and bottle deposits at the item level. There are three types of taxes that you can create: item modifiers, sales tax, and other for items that are specific to your business.

Once your tax or bottle deposit is created, you will see it show up on in the item details view and you can begin using it in the Products page. You can't create a new tax or bottle deposit within the My Products page, so this is the first step that needs to be completed before new associating items to tax.
