How shoppers and cashiers interact with loyalty

The Cashier Display

When a member signs into their account on the shopper display, cashiers will receive a notification on their screen. This notification indicates that the member has completed sign up or sign in. Their rewards balance can now be viewed in the Member Rewards tab in the quick actions panel.

When a member or cashier has redeemed a reward, a collapsible gift box will appear above the Subtotal in the transaction panel. There, cashiers can easily see which rewards the member is redeeming for the current transaction.

⚠️Note: Members earn points only on the products they've purchased (subtotal), not on taxes (total basket). They earn one punch for each item purchased.

Shoppers can redeem only one transaction discount reward per order. If one deal is selected, the other automatically grays out, making it non-redeemable for the transaction.

The Shopper Display

Members can add their phone number at any time during the transaction before payment.

When a member redeems a reward on the shopper display, they will notice a new section called Rewards Total that appears in the transaction panel (bottom left). This indicates that reward(s) have been applied.

Additional Notes:

  • To allow shoppers to join the loyalty program outside of transactions, have them text "Join" to your loyalty phone number.

  • If a member tries to redeem an item-level reward without the item in their basket, the reward won’t apply, and points will be returned. The same applies if they don't meet the minimum spend for a basket-level reward.

  • An item can be excluded from earning loyalty points or punches, but remain eligible for reward redemption if added to the product selection.
