Activating your loyalty program brings you one step closer to growing your business and boosting your shoppers' baskets!

🌟 Retailers can now offer points or punches based on dollars spent or items purchased 🌟

Steps:

  1. Activate Program: To turn Loyalty on at the POS, you will need to Activate your loyalty program on the Vori Dashboard and create at least 1 reward.
πŸ’‘ We recommend creating 3-5 rewards to give your shoppers variety.

  2. Name your reward program and Create Reward

  3. Choose your Reward Type

    1. Item Savings: Shoppers can earn Points or Punches, which can be redeemed for free items, as well as item discounts or percentage-based discounts on selected products.

      1. Choose either Points or Punches

      2. Enter # of Points or Punches needed and select reward

      3. Product selection: Search by name or barcode, then Add Product(s). If an item is designated as sold by weight in the product details, the reward will automatically dispense it by the pound rather than by each unit.
Note: For punches, the selected products will be the items that earn a punch, and are redeemable when claiming the reward. An easy example of this is a sandwich punch card. The selected products could be all of your store's deli sandwiches. When a customer buys a sandwich, they will earn a punch. When a customer redeems a punch reward, they can use it towards any of the sandwiches in the product list.

      4. Name the reward for easy identification on the shopper display, then Save.

    2. Transaction Discount: Offer shoppers a flat dollar amount deduction from their entire basket purchase.

      1. Enter Discount amount

      2. Set minimum amount (optional), but it can incentivize shoppers to increase their basket size to qualify for the discount.

      3. Enter # of points needed to earn reward

      4. Name the reward for easy identification on the shopper display, then Save.

    3. Transaction Percent Off: Offer shoppers a % reduction on their total purchase.
πŸ’‘ Best Practices: This reward offers the highest point value but may come with a slightly higher cost for the retailer. To maximize its effectiveness and boost revenue, consider incentivizing shoppers with a minimum spend requirement.

      1. Enter %

      2. Set minimum amount (optional), but it can incentivize shoppers to increase their basket size to qualify for the discount.

      3. Enter # of points needed to earn reward

      4. Name the reward for easy identification on the shopper display, then Save.

πŸ’‘ Pro Tip: You can exclude an item from earning loyalty points or punches on the Product Details page, while still allowing it for reward redemption when added to the product selection during reward creation.

Example: Loyalty members won’t earn points or punches on half sandwiches, but they can still redeem as a reward.

Additional Notes:

  • Once Rewards are activated, refer to this help article Redeeming Loyalty Rewards at the POS on how cashiers and members will interact with your rewards at the POS.

  • Item Savings rewards: The system will apply the reward to the highest-priced eligible item.

  • In addition to excluding individual items from earning loyalty points, retailers can also exclude entire departments (e.g., Liquor or Tobacco) from receiving loyalty rewards.
