Troubleshooting: Updating Scheduled Reboot Time on the Payment Terminal

Enabling a scheduled reboot time allows the payment terminal to only reboot at a specific time when installing an update

Steps:

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the payment terminal touchscreen

    1. A black bar should pop up on the bottom of the screen

  2. Hit back button twice

  3. Enter password pax9876@@

    1. This will cause the payment process app to close, taking you to the main screen of the payment terminal

  4. Hit Android settings icon ⚙️

  5. Enter in same password pax9876@@ and hit the “OK” button

  6. On the Settings screen, tap System

  7. Tap Date & time

  8. Turn on Use Network Provided Time

  9. Change time zone to Pacific Time (or wherever this terminal is going)

  10. Tap the back arrow on the top left corner of the screen

  11. Tap Security

  12. Tap Scheduled Reboot Time should be 2:00

  13. Press & hold the red & green buttons on the physical keyboard until the payment terminal restarts

  14. The payment processing application will automatically reopen after the payment terminal turns back on
