You now have the ability to create promotions directly from the handheld! This feature provides convenience, flexibility, and instant accessibility, allowing you to set up promotions on the spot without needing to access the back office.

There are several ways to add and edit promotions on the handheld. Once you are logged into the VoriOS app, proceed with the steps below.

Create New Promotion from the Promotions Page:

Steps:

Tap Re-Sync to ensure recent updates made on the Back office are up to date on the handheld.
Select Promotions
Tap Create New Promotion
Scan barcode(s) to add items to a list or Search for Product by name or UPC
1. If you choose to Search, tap the ➕ to add the item(s) to the list
Once item(s) have been added, click Next
Choose the desired deal type
1. Fill out the required fields* for the deal type
Set the Deal period and Promotion name
Tap Publish Promotion
Once the Promotion is published, select Go to Tags to print promotional tags

Create Promotion From the Products Page:

Steps:

Tap Re-Sync to ensure recent updates made on the Back office are up to date on the handheld.
Scan an item barcode or Search for Product by name or UPC
Tap New Promo
Click Search for Product to add more items to the promotion (optional)
1. Scan an item barcode or Search for Product by name or UPC
2. Tap the ➕ to add the item(s) to the promotion
Choose the desired deal type
1. Fill out the required fields* for the deal type
Set the Deal period and Promotion Name
Tap Publish Promotion

Currently, the handheld does not support creating multiple deals within a single promotion. If you'd like to offer different deal types, Create New Promotion to set up additional offers or create the Multi-Deal promotions in the back office.

Edit Promotion from the Promotions Page:

Steps:

Tap Re-Sync to ensure recent updates made on the Back office are up to date on the handheld.
Select Promotions
Once you've found the promotion, click onto it to begin editing
Select and edit the desired fields, then Save

Note: Multi-Deal promotions cannot be edited on the handheld; they are view-only. To make edits, please log in to the back office on your desktop.

Edit Promotion from the Products Page:

Tap Re-Sync to ensure recent updates made on the Back office are up to date on the handheld.
Scan an item barcode or Search for Product by name or UPC
Under Retail Price, select the Promotion
Tap 👁️View Promo
Edit desired fields, then select Update Promotion

💡 Pro tip: If you are on the sales floor and want to verify if a product is on promotion, scan the item to see if there is any active promotions.

Cancel Promotion from the Promotions Page:

Steps:

Tap Re-Sync to ensure recent updates made on the Back office are up to date on the handheld.
Select Promotions
Select the promotion you wish you cancel
Tap ... on the top right hand corner
Select Cancel Promotion and confirm

Cancel/Remove Promotion from the Products Page:

Steps:

Tap Re-Sync to ensure recent updates made on the Back office are up to date on the handheld.
Scan an item barcode or Search for Product by name or UPC
Under Retail Price, select the Promotion
Tap 🗑️Remove Item from Promotion

💡 Pro tip: If you're on the sales floor and need to remove a promotion, simply scan the item and remove the promotion.

Duplicate Promotion

Steps:

Tap Re-Sync to ensure recent updates made on the Back office are up to date on the handheld.
Select Promotions
Select the promotion you wish to duplicate
Tap ... on the top right hand corner
Select Duplicate Promotion
Fill out the Promotion Name and choose the Deal Period, then Duplicate when done.
Once the Promotion has been duplicated, you must go to the Drafts tab and then Finalize & Publish

Additional Notes:

If a retailer doesn't have a bluetooth scanner connected to the handheld, they won't be able to scan items to add to a promotion and will be limited to using the search function.
