No action is required from California retailers with the notice. Vori is currently compliant with the “fallback” magnetic stripe requirements and is collaborating with the payments gateway to support SNAP EBT chip in the future. ✏️ Note - The notice does not specify a deadline for merchants to support SNAP EMV Chip. The technical specifications for SNAP EBT chip are not yet available, and processors need these specs to implement support on their systems. Once received, they will update their certification plans, allowing Datacap to add support as part of a Level 3 EMV certification project.Documentation Index
