Vusion Link: Linking a Product to an ESL

This guide will show how to link an ESL to an on-file product in the store

Linking a product to an ESL allows the ESL to display the product's basic retail information including barcode, description, price, and more! As long as the ESL is linked to that product and within range of an access point, the ESL will automatically update with any changes made to that product.

Materials:

  • Registered and online ESL (click here for a guide on registering ESL cases)

  • Smartphone with Vusion Link installed and logged into the store profile

How to:

  • Open the Vusion Link app on the smartphone

  • NFC tap the tag

    • While the Ready to Scan prompt is on screen, tap the top of the phone against the tag.

💡If the Ready to Scan prompt is not open, tap the signal button to open it.

  • Enter the product code in one of two ways

    • #1 - Product has scannable barcode

    • #2 - Product has no barcode or the barcode isn't scannable

#1 - Product has a scannable barcode

Tap the Camera icon to open the phone’s camera and scan the product’s barcode.

Or

#2 - Product doesn’t have a scannable barcode

Tap into the Item id field to manually type the product code. This can be used to enter PLU codes.

  • When pairing is complete, a green confirmation banner will appear at the top of the screen. Then the Ready to Scan prompt will automatically open so you can begin pairing another ESL.

    • Depending on signal strength, the ESL may take up to 30 seconds to pair with a product after scanning

💡An ESL does not have to be permanently linked to one product.

Simply follow the steps of this guide again to change the product linked to an ESL.
