      How to sell, redeem, and top up gift cards on the POS

      This article explains how to issue and redeem physical gift cards on the POS

      Issuing a new physical gift card

      1. Tap the Gift Card Icon on the bottom bar.
      2. Tap Purchase.
      3. Enter gift card amount, then tap Confirm Amount.
      4. Select Physical Gift Card Delivery Method.
      5. Scan the barcode of the active physical gift card with the hand scanner.
      6. Proceed with transaction and payment.

      💡 Pro tip: The current maximum purchase limit for each gift card is $200. If a customer wishes to purchase a gift card for a higher amount, process the remaining amount as a separate transaction as a Top-up.

      Redeeming a physical gift card on the POS

      1. Scan the barcode of the gift card with the hand scanner.

        1. The gift card's available balance will be shown in the top right corner of the screen.

      2. When ready to collect payment, tap Complete Payment, select Gift Card as the payment type, and confirm the amount.


      Topping up an active physical gift card

      To add additional funds to a physical gift card that has already been issued, follow the directions below:

      1. Tap the Gift Card Icon on the bottom bar.
      2. Tap Purchase.
      3. Enter gift card amount, then tap Confirm Amount.
      4. Select Physical Gift Card Delivery Method.
      5. Scan the barcode of the active physical gift card with the hand scanner.
      6. Proceed with transaction and payment.
       

      Additional Notes:

      • More than one physical gift card can be sold within the same transaction.

      • Currently, physical gift cards with mag stripes are not supported on the POS. Only physical gift cards with unique scannable barcodes are supported.
