How to format a promotion file so it can be imported into the Promotions tool
This article explains the formatting requirements for a promotion file so it can be imported in the Promotions tool

Required Fields
| Column | Description |
| UPC | The barcode of the product on promo |
| Desc | The name of product on promo |
| Sale Mult | Quantity for the promotion. For single-item promotions, use 1. For mix & match promos (e.g., 2 for $4), enter 2. |
| Sale SRP | Sale price of the product. |
| Start | Promotion start date in the format YEAR-MO-DY (e.g., 2025-07-30). |
| End | Promotion end date in the format YEAR-MO-DY (e.g., 2025-08-30). |
| Type | Enter โADPโ for all promotions. |
โ๏ธ Note - The field names in the file must match the template exactly (including spelling) to ensure a successful upload.
โ ๏ธ Caution - Required fields cannot be blank or contain a value of 0. Any missing or zero-value data will prevent the file from uploading.
โ ๏ธ Caution - File Size Limit: Promotion files have a limit of approximately 500 lines. Files larger than this may time out and fail to upload. If you have more than 500 lines, please split the data into multiple files.

This import only supports these promotion types:

Buy X, get Y free

Mix and match (e.g., 2 for $4)
โ๏ธ Note - Percent-off discounts (e.g., 10% off) cannot be imported using this process.
Directions

Open the Promotion Import Template - Google Sheets and select file > make a copy to edit the sheet.

Enter the required fields.

Download the file as .CSV.
