      How to format a promotion file so it can be imported into the Promotions tool?

      This article explains the formatting requirements for a promotion file so it can be imported in the Promotions tool.

      Required Fields

      The following are mandatory data points that must be included in a promotion file for it to be imported. Some of this data may require manual input if missing:

      1. Barcode
      2. Product Name
      3. Offer Name (Fine to leave as Default, this does not affect the Promotion Name)
      4. Offer Quantity
        1. If the promotion will only apply to an item, input 1
        2. e.g. If you want to make a mix/match promo 2 for $#, you would input 2
      5. Offer Price
        1. Sale price of the product
      6. Promotion Start date
        1. Format needs to be YEAR-MO-DY
        2. Example: 2025-07-30
      7. Promotion End date
        1. Format needs to be YEAR-MO-DY
        2. Example: 2025-08-30

      ⚠️ Caution - Cells for a required field cannot be left blank or contain a value of 0. Data in this format will prevent the file from uploading.

      Directions

      1. Open the template and download a copy
      2. Input necessary fields
      3. Download as .CSV
      4. Proceed to this article for instructions on how to upload the file

      ✏️ Note - The uploaded file must be in .CSV format. Files in other format types cannot be uploaded.
