Resolve Data and Display Issues in Vori OS
Refresh your store data to fix pricing, promotion, and barcode errors.
When you use Vori OS, most of your store's data is saved directly on your device to ensure fast performance. Occasionally, this saved data can become outdated or out of sync with the Vori Back Office.
If you are seeing pricing discrepancies, missing barcodes, or display glitches, follow this guide to refresh your connection.

When to Refresh Your Data
You should perform these steps if you notice data in Vori OS that seems incorrect or outdated. Common signs include:

Pricing errors: Old product costs or prices are displayed.

Promotion lags: Promotions appear active after they have expired.

Sync delays: Information in the app does not match what you see in the Vori Back Office.

Scanning issues: You scan a known item, but the app says "Barcode Not Found".

Loading glitches: Tools, pages, or menus appear blank or fail to load.
Step 1: Force a Re-Sync
Forcing a re-sync is the quickest way to resolve most display issues. To do this, you must fully close and re-open the app.
โ๏ธ Note: This is different from minimizing the app. You must "force quit" the application from your device's app switcher to trigger the data download.

Open the app switcher. Swipe up from the bottom of your screen and pause in the middle until all open app windows appear.

Find Vori OS. Swipe left or right through your open apps to locate the Vori OS window.

Force quit the app. Swipe up on the Vori OS window to close it. This will remove it from the view.

Re-open Vori OS. Return to your Home Screen and tap the Vori OS icon.

Log in. Enter your credentials if prompted.

The app will display a loading screen and a message like "Downloading Data". Once this is complete, your prices and promotions should be up to date.
Step 2: Clear Cache
If forcing a re-sync (Step 1) did not resolve the issue, or if you are experiencing "Barcode Not Found" errors on known items, you should clear the internal cache.

Open Vori OS.

Tap the Profile Icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Select Clear Cache from the menu options.

Tap Confirm if prompted.

Troubleshooting
What if the app opens instantly without "Downloading Data"? If Vori OS opens immediately without a loading screen, it was likely minimized rather than fully closed. Please repeat Step 1, ensuring you swipe the app window up and off the screen in the app switcher.
What if the issue persists? If you have tried both forcing a re-sync and clearing the cache without success, try restarting your device completely.

This ensures a fresh connection to the network and usually resolves any lingering sync issues.
