Force a Data Re-Sync in Vori OS
Learn how to resolve display issues, like expired promotions or incorrect pricing, by manually refreshing your store's data via the Vori OS app.
When you use the Vori OS app, most of your store's data is saved directly on your device to ensure fast performance. Sometimes, this saved data can become outdated. Forcing the app to re-sync ensures you are seeing the most current information for your store.
When to Force a Re-Sync
You should force a re-sync if you notice data in the OS app that seems incorrect or outdated. This is a common first step to resolve issues like:

Promotions appearing as active after they have expired.

Old product costs or prices being displayed.

In-app information not matching what you see in the Vori Back Office.
How to Force a Re-Sync on Your Device
To force a re-sync, you will need to fully close and re-open Vori OS. This action prompts the app to re-download all of your store’s latest data.
✏️ Note: This process is different from simply minimizing the app. You must fully close, or "force quit," the application from your device's app switcher.

Open the app switcher on your iPhone or iPad. To do this, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle of the screen until all of your open app windows appear.

Find the Vori OS app window. Swipe left or right through your open apps to locate it.

Swipe up on the Vori OS window to force quit the app. This will remove it from the app switcher.

Return to your Home Screen and tap the Vori OS icon to re-open it.

Log in with your credentials if prompted. The app will now display a loading screen and a message like "Downloading Data" as it re-syncs with your store. Once complete, you will be logged in.
After the data has finished downloading, the issue you were experiencing should be resolved.
Troubleshooting
What if the app opens instantly without showing the "Downloading Data" screen?
- If Vori OS opens immediately without showing the loading screen, it was likely minimized instead of being fully closed. Please try the steps in the section above again, making sure to swipe the app window up and away in the app switcher.
- If you have tried to force quit and the app still does not re-sync, please try restarting the device completely. Once the device has rebooted, open Vori OS. This should trigger a fresh data sync.
