# Check ESL status in Back Office

> Use the Electronic Shelf Labels page in Back Office to see which labels are online, paired, and healthy, and spot the ones that need attention.

### Overview

The **Electronic Shelf Labels** page gives you a live view of every Electronic Shelf Label (ESL) in your store. Use it to confirm labels are connected, check which product each label shows, and find labels with low batteries or connection problems before shoppers notice a wrong price.

### Open the Electronic Shelf Labels page

1. Sign in to Back Office at [app.vori.com](https://app.vori.com).
2. In the left menu, go to **Tags > Electronic Shelf Labels**.

### Read the summary cards

The cards at the top of the page show label counts for your store at a glance.

| Card            | What it shows                                                                                |
| --------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Labels**      | Total number of ESLs registered to your store.                                               |
| **Online**      | Labels currently connected to an access point.                                               |
| **Offline**     | Labels not currently connected.                                                              |
| **Unreachable** | Labels the system has not been able to reach. These usually need a closer look on the floor. |
| **Paired**      | Labels linked to a product.                                                                  |
| **Unpaired**    | Labels not yet linked to a product.                                                          |
| **Low battery** | Labels whose battery needs replacing soon.                                                   |

*Online* and *Offline* add up to your total label count, as do *Paired* and *Unpaired*.

Below the cards, **Last synced from the label vendor** shows when Vori last pulled label data from your ESL provider. If a label's status looks out of date, check this timestamp first.

### Search, filter, and sort labels

Use the tools above the table to find specific labels:

* **Search** (magnifying glass icon): look up a label by its label ID, product name, or barcode.
* **Filter** (filter icon): narrow the list, for example to show only offline or unpaired labels.
* **Sort** (arrows icon on the right): change the order of the table.

### Understand the label table

Each row is one ESL. Scroll right to see all columns.

| Column            | What it means                                                                              |
| ----------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Label**         | The ESL ID. This matches the ID printed on the back of the label.                          |
| **Product**       | The product the label is paired with.                                                      |
| **Barcode**       | The product's barcode or PLU.                                                              |
| **Pairing**       | Whether the product link has been sent to the label, for example **Transmitted**.          |
| **Connectivity**  | Whether the label is **Online** or **Offline**.                                            |
| **Status**        | Whether the label's display matches the latest product data, for example **Synchronized**. |
| **Battery**       | The label's battery health, for example **Good**.                                          |
| **Signal**        | The strength of the label's connection to the access point.                                |
| **Last online**   | The last time the label connected to the network.                                          |
| **Last rendered** | The last time the label's display was updated.                                             |
| **Model**         | The label's hardware model and size, for example **2.6 BWR** or **2.2 FREEZER BW**.        |

### Troubleshoot common issues

* **Many labels are offline or unreachable:** Check that your ESL access points are powered on and connected. See [How to physically troubleshoot an ESL access point](/electronic-shelf-labels-esls/how-to-physically-troubleshoot-an-esl-access-point).
* **A label is unpaired:** Link it to a product. See [Link a product to an Electronic Shelf Label (ESL)](/electronic-shelf-labels-esls/link-a-product-to-an-electronic-shelf-label-esl).

* **Battery shows low:** Replace the label's battery or swap the label.
