What are Quick Action buttons?

Quick Action buttons are shortcuts on your Point of Sale (POS) screen. They help your team quickly:

  • Ring up specific products (e.g., a popular bakery item).

  • Apply discounts or fees.

  • Access department menus.

  • Add tare weights (e.g., paper bag weight).

  • Ring up items without a barcode using manual entry.

✏️Note: Each button is customized to your store’s setup and can be applied per POS lane.

⚠️ Caution: There is a limit of 16 Quick Action buttons per lane

What are Manual Items?

Manual Items are store products with the Manual Item trait enabled. This includes:

  • Open code products (e.g., variable-priced produce or deli items).
  • Standard catalog items (e.g., Honeycrisp Apples) that stores want to make easier to find.

When a product has this trait, it appears under the Manual Items button on the POS as a selectable tile. This makes it quicker to find frequently used items without needing to scan a barcode.

💡Tip: Want to add one? Create or update the product in your catalog with the Manual Item setting turned on. Then, contact Vori Support to request it as a Quick Action if you want it to appear directly on the POS screen.

⚠️ Caution: Manual items won’t link to a product ID in reporting, use only when necessary.
