How to link a product to an ESL in the Vusion Link app

This guide will show how to link an ESL to an on-file product in the store by using the Vusion Link app.

Linking a product to an ESL allows the ESL to display the product's basic retail information including barcode, description, price, and more! As long as the ESL is linked to that product and within range of an access point, the ESL will automatically update with any changes made to that product.

💡 Tip - ESLs do not need to be unlinked from their current products before being associated to a new product. To connect a new product to an ESL that is already in use, simply follow the instructions provided in this guide.

Required Materials

  • Registered and online ESL (click here for a guide on registering ESL cases).

  • Smartphone with Vusion Link installed and logged into the store profile.


Directions

  1. Open the Vusion Link app on the smartphone.

  2. While the Ready to Scan prompt is on screen, tap the top of the phone against the tag.

  3. Enter the product code in one of two ways:

    1. Product has scannable barcode - Tap the Camera icon to open the phone’s camera and scan the product’s barcode.
    2. Product has no barcode or the barcode isn't scannable - Tap into the Item id field to manually type the product code. This can be used to enter PLU codes.
  4. When pairing is complete, a green confirmation banner will appear at the top of the screen. The Ready to Scan prompt will automatically open so another ESL can be linked.

✏️ Note - Depending on signal strength, the ESL may take up to 1 minute to pair with a product after scanning.
