Explanations of Automated Campaigns
Below are brief explanations of how the different Automated Campaigns work:
- Welcome Message - Automatically sends a Loyalty customer a marketing text message with an optional promotional coupon attached when they first sign up for Loyalty.
- Explore the store - Automatically sends personalized coupons to Loyalty members throughout the year, encouraging exploration of the store with minimum spend requirements that exceed their average basket size, thus incentivizing larger purchases. Vori’s marketing AI continually optimizes this campaign for a more effective rewards program.
- Come Back –Automatically sends a marketing text message with a promotional coupon to Loyalty members after a specified inactivity period, which the store can configure, along with the coupon’s expiration date, providing a timely incentive for customers to return.
- Anniversary – Automatically sends a marketing text message with a promotional coupon to Loyalty members on the anniversary of their sign-up date.
Explanation of Custom Campaigns
Custom Campaigns are SMS marketing text messages in which the following traits can be fully edited:
- Message - The text message content sent to customers.
- Send date - The scheduled delivery date of the message.
✏️ Note - Campaign messages are scheduled to be delivered between 8 AM and 10 AM, based on the local time zone of the store.
- Image - An optional image that can be included with the message.
⚠️ Caution - Image size is limited 700 KB. If an image file larger that this size is attached to a Custom Campaign message, the message will not be sent.
- Optional coupon - One of four optional coupon types can be added to the message and later redeemed by the recipient at the POS.

How to quickly edit and activate an Automated Campaign
Each Automated Campaign message comes with two buttons on the main Campaigns page:
- Activate toggle - Enable the Automated Campaign message to start being sent to customers that fall within its rule set.
- Edit button - Customize the attached coupon and message of the of the Automated Campaign.
💡 Tip - It is recommended to edit an Automated Campaign prior to activation. This step guarantees that any optional coupons are incorporated into the Campaign's SMS messages, and it also provides users the opportunity to review all other editable details of the Campaign before it is sent out.
Guidelines for the SMS message of an Automated Campaign
All Automated Campaigns include a pre-made SMS message that will be sent to the recipient. These messages can be edited and previewed before sending, but a few general guidelines should be followed:
- Store name - The store name is automatically incorporated into all Automated Campaign messages. The placeholder
will be replaced with the actual name of the store when the message is sent, as illustrated in the example below.
- Compliance disclaimer - For a Loyalty member’s first Campaign message, whether from the automated Welcome Message or a customer Campaign, it is recommended to include the final sentence:
Message & data rates apply. Text STOP to opt-out.
This helps avoid being flagged as spam by mobile carrier networks. - Coupon details - When attaching a coupon to an Automated Campaign, details about the coupon are automatically included in the SMS message and don't need to be manually added.
Activating and editing a Custom Campaign message
Custom campaign messages are fully customizable marketing text messages that can be sent to Loyalty customers.
Below are the shared traits that differentiate them from Automated Campaigns:
- Image attachment: Images up to 700 KB may be added to Custom Campaign messages.
- One-time send: Custom Campaign messages are only sent once at the date and time they are scheduled.
- No pre-made message: The message portion of a Custom Campaign does not come pre-filled, but stores may enter any marketing messages they like.
- Optional coupons: Including a coupon is optional when sending Custom Campaign messages. This flexibility allows stores to use Custom Campaigns to effectively communicate important information such as holiday hours or upcoming sales to Loyalty customers, even without attaching a coupon.
