      How to run Get Parameters on the payment terminal

      This article explains how to run Get Parameters on the payment terminal to download the latest updates from the payment gateway.

      Introduction 

      Running Get Parameters ensures the payment terminal stays up to date with the latest configurations from the payment gateway. This is a helpful troubleshooting step if the terminal is having connectivity issues or isn’t functioning as expected.

      Directions 

      1. Swipe up from the bottom of the payment terminal touchscreen.

        1. A black bar should pop up at the bottom of the screen.

      2. Hit back arrow 2x.

      3. Enter password pax9876@@ (use the screen keyboard, not the physical keypad).

        1. This will cause the payment process app to close and will redirect to the main screen of the payment terminal.

      4. Tap on DCDirect and then Get Parameters.

        1. IMPORTANT: Multiple windows will pop up—please do not select anything and just wait for the screen to reload.

      5. The download is complete when the Welcome page appears on the payment terminal, which may take up to a minute.
