How to finalize terminal setup for Offline Payments

This article explains how to finalize setup for offline payments in the Vori system by downloading and running EMV parameters.

Introduction

Once a retailer has provided confirmation and authorization for Vori to enable offline payments, the store must finalize the setup by downloading and running EMV parameters on all payment terminals. Internet connection is required for this step; without it, the retailer will be unable to process offline payments during an internet outage.

Default Configuration Settings:

These are the standard settings applied to stores with offline payments enabled. Contact the Vori team to request changes if needed:

  • Maximum Stored Transactions: 100
  • Purchase Limit for Stored Transactions: $500
  • Maximum Time Length for Stored Transactions (hours): 48

⚠️ Caution - Processing payments offline poses the risk of declined payments after the customer has left the store, which could lead to unrecoverable losses for the retailer.
